Your Child’s First Visit
First of all, welcome to Brush Pediatric Dentistry! We’re so excited to meet you and your little ones, and we promise we’ll do our part to ensure their precious smiles are well taken care of. We hope to become your children's dental home by establishing a comfortable relationship between our doctors, your kids, and you.
If this is your child’s first visit to the dentist, Dr. Albert, Dr. Gripentrog, or Dr. Karamchandani will focus their attention on helping your child get accustomed to the sights and sounds of dentistry. We want your kids to be comfortable and feel at ease whenever they come to see us. Depending on his or her age, your child’s first appointment will begin with a discussion of brushing and flossing. Our staff will offer tips and advice on fun and effective brushing practices that are age appropriate. Then, we will clean your child's teeth.
One of our doctors will then conduct a thorough examination, check for signs of decay, and review digital x-rays (when necessary) and sit down with you to develop a treatment plan. By utilizing digital x-ray technology, we significantly reduce the level of radiation exposure your child receives. Finally, your child will be invited to choose a reward before you all head home with a smile.
As parents ourselves, we understand that you’re busier than ever just trying to take care of your family. For your convenience, you can save some precious time by filling out our patient forms before your first appointment. Simply click on the New Patient Form button and take a few minutes to fill them out before coming into the office. We need them 2 business days in advance. This will ensure we see you on time, and get through all of the important steps of your child's first visit at Brush. If you have any issues getting this to work, simply let us know.

Late Arrival Guideline
We value the busy schedules of the many families that visit us daily and we, at Brush Pediatric Dentistry strive to do our part in staying on time for all of you. We want to give you and your child the benefit of the entire time reserved for your family.
While one of our core values is mutual respect of time, we realize that things happen, and we will do everything in our power to accommodate your family in the event you arrive late. Please review our late arrival guideline, below.
If your child arrives more than 7 minutes late for a reserved appointment, we will do everything we can to see your child. There are two main reasons your child’s appointment would need to be rescheduled:
- If time does not allow us to give your child the full attention required for their appointment
- If your child's tardy arrival will prevent us from seeing our next family at the start of their scheduled appointment time
If there are available appointment reservations that same day, you will be presented with those options first.
We thank you for your understanding and encourage you to arrive a few minutes early, snap some fun pictures in our waiting room, and get social!
Appointment Cancellation Guideline
The Brush team values you and your family’s time and sincerely hopes that you will extend us the same courtesy! We understand that life can be unpredictable sometimes, so if you do find that you need to cancel your son or daughter’s upcoming appointment, don’t hesitate to let us know as soon as possible so that we can reschedule them for a more convenient day and time. Please keep in mind that we do require at least two business days of notice when cancelling or rescheduling appointments. Otherwise, a cancellation fee may be applied to your account. If multiple late cancellations occur, we do reserve the right to charge a deposit when holding time open for a visit.
We welcome all PPO insurance plans. We invite you to call our office to learn more about the benefits of your plan and how services in our office may be covered quite well even if we aren't in your specific network! Our team takes the time to verify, process and file claims on your behalf — and we make it a priority to ensure that the process is as seamless and easy as possible.
