She is a board-certified pediatric dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is a Fellow and National Spokesperson of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and an examiner for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also on staff and maintains privileges at the Department of Surgery Division of Dentistry of the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago.

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Albert has over a decade of experience in the specialty of pediatric dentistry. She is heavily involved in her profession and lectures to other physicians and dentists about various topics. She regularly gives back to her community and volunteers her time to help children that may not have access to pediatric dental homes.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

She obtained a BA in psychology and then earned her DDS in 2004, both from the University of Michigan. Dr. Albert then completed a two-year hospital residency in pediatric dentistry before earning her master's degree in Oral Sciences from the University of Illinois in Chicago. Her research focus was infant oral health care, and as part of her training, she took hospital calls where she responded to a variety of dental emergencies and traumas, from chipped teeth to severe damage.

Dr. Albert began the first year of her career as the director of a UIC-affiliated dental clinic she helped establish on the south side of Chicago. The clinic’s mission was to serve children with limited access to dental care. She has been a pediatric dentist in private practice since 2006.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Albert treats very young children, those with special needs, and kids with complex dental issues both in the office and in the operating room of Lurie's Children's Hospital of Chicago. She finds great joy in helping families set the stage for a life-long commitment to oral health in a friendly and approachable manner.

Her favorite part about being a pediatric dentist is seeing the pride a child gains after learning the skills to cope with what can sometimes be a difficult situation. She sincerely looks forward to meeting you and your children and watching them grow alongside her own kids.
